Charter adopted contingent on Metro ordinance

The Continuum of Care (CoC) membership voted on Thursday, May 17, to adopt a new charter contingent on the passage of a proposed Metro ordinance that would create a new governance board.

The new board would be called the Nashville-Davidson County Continuum of Care Planning Council and serve as the CoC Governance Board. In addition, Metro would eliminate the Metropolitan Homelessness Commission and combine that work in the new Planning Council.

This vote was a critical step in the months-long community engagement around the effort to create a unified homeless governance system for the Nashville-Davidson County Continuum of Care.
