Next Meeting March 20

The meeting of March 6 was brief due to conflicts in scheduling that did not permit high attendance. The next meeting (see agenda) was scheduled for Tuesday, March 20, 9:30-11:30 am (location at Lentz Public Health Center, 2500 Charlotte Ave, in Centennial C). The group determined to schedule meetings every two weeks until such time that the group will be dissolved.

The work group members who were present, reviewed the timeline:

Timeline & Progress Report as of March 6, 2018

• March 15th: CoC to review on the Charter

• April 6th: The Commission will review Ordinance draft

• April 19th: The CoC will vote on the Charter (subject to ordinance passing Council)

• May 4th: The Commission will vote on the Ordinance. The Ordinance will be filed for City Council review.

• May 15th: City Council 1st reading of the Ordinance

• June 5th: City Council 2nd reading of the Ordinance

• June 19th: City Council 3rd and final reading of the Ordinance

• July 1st: Enact Ordinance

Next Steps to be addressed (as of March 6, 2018):

• Timeframe for first inaugural Planning Council meeting and voting for chair and vice chair

• Should the MHC/CoC Governance Workgroup recommend a chair and vice chair?

• Recommendations that outline which members of each body should serve a 1-year, 2-year, or 3-year term (each body will talk to members about the 1-,2-, and 3-year terms)

• Recommend a meeting schedule for the Planning Council

• What should the orientation of the new board look like? Should the orientation occur during the last 2 weeks in June?
